The mission of StepUp Durham is to empower job seekers in the Durham community who face challenges to employment. We do this by providing them opportunity and access to essential resources and holistic support to enhance lives and build sustainable employment, thereby fostering personal and community growth. The Hubzone Technology Initiative
HUBZone Technology Initiative (HTI) believes everyone should have the opportunity to achieve their goals. Circumstances can become barriers, and HTI helps people break through these barriers by providing free technology for educational and employment opportunities. We acquire laptops donated by individuals, organizations, and businesses and convert them to Google Chromebooks for those in need. HTI provides an essential service to our underserved communities, and we are grateful to be able to contribute to reducing the digital divide.
Tech For Troops
Tech For Troops empowers under-resourced Veterans and their families by equipping them with sustainable, lifelong digital skills. We do this by providing access to hands-on training, practical education, and reliable technology that supports independence, employability, and long-term stability. Through community-based programs and expanding nationwide digital services, we strive to improve the lives of Veterans and their families, strengthen their pathways to meaningful employment, and ensure they are not left behind in an increasingly connected world.
