Michael Abensour

Michael is CEO of Apollo Net, a social enterprise providing affordable, broadband internet access to communities and families across the country. He brings more than 15 years of digital inclusion experience to closing the digital divide, most recently as Chief Impact Officer at Comp-U-Dopt. Prior to that, he was SVP of Policy and Advocacy at Human-I-T, following ten years as Executive Director of Kramden Institute, where he drove major growth in the organization’s digital literacy, digital navigator, and computer refurbishing programs.

Before entering the nonprofit sector, Michael spent his first professional decade in Washington, D.C., working in campaign management, fundraising, and international relations. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from UNC Chapel Hill and an M.A. in Political Management from George Washington University, and serves locally on several boards.
